Cowley News is back after a long absence!

POPULAR local newspaper, Cowley News, has been re-introduced in the Cowley area last week. Our new digital platform has allowed us to share stories, adverts and media all for free.

The paper version is set to be released mid-June 2020, and we are working hard to find sponsors and stories for our next edition, expected September 2020.

We are going to be delivering our first edition to approximately 5000 homes in the Cowley area next month, with all of our stories available on our site too. We have a goal of 8000 homes and businesses by June 2021.

Our links with educational establishments, businesses and sponsors across Oxford and the wider-area will fund opportunities for young people wanting to get into journalism. We are also working with local businesses and restaurants who are offering discounts to our readers – such as Café Spice in Rose Hill (quote ‘Cowley News’ for a 10% discount).

All business and group engagements with the newspaper will be entitled to free listing on our business directory. We are also approaching and encouraging businesses to take advantage of our great-value advertising rates on our website and our newspaper – this helps support the costs and running of the newspaper.

We will be serving the immediate Cowley area to begin with, however, if you would like us to deliver a copy to you or you’d like to write to us about a story you have then please feel free to e-mail us at: editor@cowley.news and we will get back to you.

We will be posting stories on our website all-year round, but will only select a few of them to go onto our printed edition which is released every quarter.

We welcome any feedback, and we encourage you to check out our content on our website, alongside our competitions and business directory.
